Is Making A Shea Butter Cream Harmful For My Dog?
I want to make a cream that contains shea butter for my dog when her paws and nose get dry rough and icky…but i have read that shea butter can be harmful. is it ok though because this is a cream which wouldnt be ingested, unless my dog licks but even then there would be hardly any ingested.

Shea Butter will make your dog sick. Don’t do it. Try using Cocoa Butter instead, but NOT in cream form you by from the store. It has too many chemicals in it. Try using pure Cocoa Butter.

Yes, stay away from ALL Shea Butter.
Even though shea butter is diluted by water, it is still made from nuts, which are toxic to dogs. Most types of nuts are dangerous to dogs because of they contain high levels phosphorus, which can cause bladder stones, tremors in the skeletal muscles and paralysis of the hind legs.
